THE WARRANTY:
All K&N Filtercharger® replacement air filter elements - as
specified below - are warranted against defective materials or workmanship
for one million miles.
WHAT IS WARRANTED:
Any Filtercharger® air filter element specified for and used as
an OEM replacement element; i.e. K&N part numbers in the E-0000-E-2000
and 33-0000 series and motorcycle original equipment replacement elements,
except those units sold for dual purpose and/or off-road use.
WHO IS COVERED BY WARRANTY:
The original purchaser of a Filtercharger® who has provided proper
proof of the original retail purchase and all other requested information.
WHAT IS NOT WARRANTED:
Any Filtercharger® air filter used for any type of racing or competition,
any off-road use, custom or modified applications, any non-legal highway
use, marine, aircraft or industrial applications. (These units are
covered by a one year unlimited mileage warranty.)
WHAT VOIDS THE WARRANTY:
Incorrect Service: The Filtercharger® element must be cleaned
and serviced with K&N cleaner and air filter oil per the prescribed
routine maintenance procedure as outlined in the product literature
that accompanies the Filtercharger® .
No Proof of Purchase: At time of warranty claim, buyer must provide
proof of purchase (original receipt or invoice).
Incorrect Use: Any damaged, abused or modified Filtercharger®
will not be warranted.
EXTENT OF WARRANTY:
Any defective Filtercharger® element properly returned to K&N
will be replaced by K&N. K&N will not be responsible for any
other expenses incurred by the customer under the terms of this warranty,
nor shall it be responsible for any damages either consequential,
special, contingent, or otherwise; or expenses or injury arising directly
or indirectly from the use of the Filtercharger® element. Any
Filtercharger® element returned to K&N must be sent at customers'
expense along with proof of purchase. K&N reserves the right to
determine whether the terms of the warranty, set out above, have been

K&N's AirCharger® Off-Road & Racing Performance
Kits, or simply AirCharger for short, are designed to be less restrictive
compared to the stock air management system. Low restriction air filters
provide quicker throttle response and more power throughout the RPM
range. Additionally, it is important to note, if the stock air cleaner
box has emission control devices and/or hoses attached, these parts
MAY NOT be re-installed on a new AirCharger assembly. Each AirCharger
has a specially designed K&N Filtercharger® element consisting
of woven cotton fabric sandwiched between two layers of wire mesh
screen. The screen and fabric combination creates a grid-like effect
which actually straightens and smoothes the incoming air as it passes
through the filter. Air moving in a straight line moves faster than
turbulent air which enhances air flow.
THE AIRCHARGER® EFFECT:
AirCharger Performance Kits replace the air box and the restriction.
Our AirCharger Kits vary in design because each kit is engineered
to fit a particular make, model and year of vehicle. AirCharger use
a 360 degree, Filtercharger element which provides increased surface
area to promote air flow. Port injected engines are designed with
a conical shaped filter while centralized fuel injection systems are
equipped with an open element. This allows the vehicle to use all
the air the engine can physically use. Unlike many restrictive factory
intake plenums and filters, AirCharger drastically reduce restriction
while smoothing and straightening the air flow. AirCharger allow your
engine to ingest greater volumes of air which ensures usable power
and torque throughout it's entire rpm range. If your engine is turbocharged
or supercharged, the power gains can be phenomenal because these engines
are very sensitive to intake air flow.
NON-EMISSIONS LEGAL:
AirCharger Kits are NOT legal for sale or use on pollution controlled
vehicles in some states. These kits replace the original air filter
box and may eliminate or defeat some emission controls. These AirCharger
filters carry our Off Road / Racing Limited Warranty.
THE WARRANTY:
All K&N Filtercharger® Racing & Off Road air filter elements
are warranted against defective materials or workmanship for one year
from date of purchase with no mileage limitation.

Every Intake Kit we design has been tested on a
Dynamometer and proven to increase horsepower. We measure horsepower
at the wheels. The horsepower rating that may have been on the window
sticker when your car was new is often a measurement of horsepower
at the engine and there can be a loss of horsepower through the drive
train by the time it reaches the wheels.
K&N hereby warrants and guaranties to the original retail purchaser
of any K&N air intake kit that the vehicle on which the air intake
system is installed will gain an increase in horsepower, or K&N
will refund the purchase price, including sales tax, to the retail
purchaser, subject to the following terms and conditions:
The K&N air intake system must have been properly installed on
the vehicle in accordance with the included K&N instructions.
The system must be the correct part number for the vehicle upon which
it was installed.
The vehicle must be in good running condition.
The vehicle must undergo a dynamometer test both before and after
the installation of the system, with no changes to the vehicle, except
for the installation of the kit. The dyno tests must be performed
by the same testing facility and must be performed within 30 days
of one another and within 60 days of the date of purchase. The test
results or work order for each test must reflect the name and address
of the vehicle owner or operator having the test performed; the year,
make, model and mileage of the vehicle being tested; and the horsepower
results from both tests.
If the dyno tests show that the vehicle did not gain an increase in
horsepower, then the retail purchaser must return the complete air
intake system to K&N in its original packaging, together with
his or her proof of purchase, the ORIGINALS of the two dyno tests
statement requesting a refund in accordance with our Horsepower Guarantee.
Upon receipt of all of the foregoing, K&N will refund the full
purchase price, including sales tax, to the original retail purchaser.
This guaranty does not apply to any other costs incurred by the purchase,
including, but not limited to, the dyno tests, parts and labor for
the installation and removal of the air intake system, shipping costs,
rental car, loss of use or incidental damages, if any, and K&N
expressly disclaims any and all liability for same.
